In order to understand how the AutoLifeRx Coolant Additive reduces Engine wear, thus extending the life of the Engine, you must first understand what causes the majority of Engine wear.

Internal Combustion Engines use Motor Oils to lubricate moving parts within the Engine. One of the major enemies of Motor Oil, is heat which causes a breakdown in the Oil’s Viscosity (Thermal Degradation), once a Motor Oil losses it’s Viscosity it cannot gain it back, and the Oil losses its ability to properly lubricate the parts of the Engine, as well as its ability to transfer and dissipate heat through the Oil Cooler.

All Internal Combustion Engines generate heat, as a result of the process of burning fuel in the combustion chamber. The heat generated during this process, is dissipated in one or both of two ways; the transfer of heat to the Motor Oil (as described above), and through the Engine Cooling System, which uses a mixture of Engine Coolant, which uses a mixture of engine coolant and water.

Once the AutoLifeRx product is introduced into the Cooling System, it works to remove deposits that over time build up on the outer walls of the combustion chambers. By allowing the Coolant to come into contact with the outer walls of the combustion chambers a greater amount of heat is transferred into the Coolant. The heat is then dissipated as it circulates through the Radiator. The increased ability of the Coolant to transfer and dissipate heat from the inside of the Engine, reduces the amount of heat transferred to the Motor Oil, thus performing two tasks in one. The first task of making the Engine to run at a cooler operating temperature the Engine Motor Oil suffers less loss of Viscosity allowing it to retain more of its lubricating properties. The second task accomplished is reducing the stress imposed upon the Metal Parts of the Engine due to Heat.

Therefore, if the Engine is operating at a cooler temperature, the effect will be a reduction of the Under-hood Ambient Air Temperature, thus further adding with the dissipation of heat being exchanged through the Radiator, as the Laws of Physics dictates that warmer air will always be drawn to cooler air.
When the AutoLifeRx product is installed into a properly working Engine Cooling System, it will reduce the operating Temperature of the Engine, and lessen the probability of Engine Overheat, which will reduce the amount of wear to the internal parts of the Engine, as a result of the Motor Oil being able to better retain its Viscosity, and Heat Transfer properties.

Transmissions, and Transfer Cases, will also enjoy the benefit of the lower operating Temperatures of the Engine, in that most Transmissions also rely on the Engine Cooling Systems Radiator, to perform two tasks through the use of a Transmission Cooler; one is to bring the Transmission Fluid up to operating temperature, and the other is to assist in the dissipation of heat once at operating temperatures are reached. Since the Transfer Case and Transmission in today’s vehicles generally share the same fluid they can both benefit from the reduction of Fluid Temperatures.

Additional components who share a common area with the Engine can also share in the benefit of reduced Ambient Air Temperatures. These include but are not limited to A/C Compressors, and Electrical Components such as the Alternator, and Starter. These components can have a greatly reduced life span due to heat.
